If you’re craving something quick, fiery, and absolutely delicious, these Spicy Garlic Chili Oil Noodles will hit the spot. Made with simple pantry ingredients and a generous spoonful of homemade hot chili oil, this dish brings bold flavors and desi flair to your plate.
📝 Ingredients:
- 150g noodles (Hakka or instant wheat noodles work well)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil or vegetable oil
- 1.5 tbsp of your Homemade Hot Chili Oil
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- ½ tsp chopped green chilies (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar (white or apple cider)
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Chopped spring onions or coriander for garnish
- Crushed roasted peanuts or sesame seeds (optional)
🍳 Instructions:
- Boil the noodles as per packet instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.
- In a large pan or wok, heat the sesame oil on medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sauté until golden and aromatic.
- Add green chilies (if using), soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and a generous spoon of your Hot Chili Oil. Stir for 30 seconds to bring out the flavors.
- Toss in the cooked noodles. Mix well to coat them in the spicy sauce.
- Check salt and adjust seasoning. Let it sizzle for 1–2 minutes so the flavors absorb.
- Garnish with spring onions, coriander, and optionally some crushed peanuts or sesame seeds for crunch.
🌶️ Serving Tip:
These noodles are great on their own or as a side with grilled veggies, chicken, or tofu. And yes, don’t forget to keep that chili oil bottle nearby—you’ll want more.
